The Drawing Room – Room details

Summary

Located on the first floor, the Drawing Room is one of the most versatile rooms in the Hall. The room has the largest William Morris Tapestry in the country, hung in place of wallpaper. A portrait of Isaac Walton is amongst many fine pictures on the walls. A huge fireplace, bookcases and unique collection of artifacts add to the splendor of the room.

Meetings and Workshops

The Drawing Room is also ideal for small conferences, board meetings and workshops and the Events team can offer a range of AV equipment, plasma and projector screens. The three sets of stained glass windows flood the room with natural light and there are air-controlled units discreetly placed for maximum comfort.

Conferences and Exhibitions

The Drawing Room can also be used as additional breakout space for meetings and conferences held in the Banqueting Hall or as an exhibition area, if required.

Delegates can enjoy coffee breaks either served in the Drawing Room itself or on the spacious Gainsborough Landing, which is adjacent. The welcoming of guests or registration of delegates can also take place on the Landing or in the Entrance Hall at the bottom of the stairs.

The experienced and professional Events team at the Hall would be delighted to discuss your requirements.

Dining Events, Celebrations and Receptions

For dining events such as a company dinner, the Drawing Room can hold up to 50 guests on round tables, whilst able to accommodate a drinks reception for 100 guests with ease. The elegant sofas and chairs can make this an intimate room, whatever the event, as well as providing the ideal space to relax in comfort.
