The Hall opening hours are 08.30 to 17.00 on Monday to Friday. We are happy to organise weekend events and appointments by prior arrangement through the Events Office.

Parking

The Barbican Centre is the preferred parking partner of the Ironmongers' Hall. There are several car parks which are located just a short distance from Ironmongers. The closest is Car Park 5, the entrance of which is off Beech Street. From this car park when exiting, turn left and left again at the traffic lights and the Ironmongers' Hall can be found on the left hand side before the roundabout.

Porters are available to assist organisers if required. We would ask that this is organised in advance with the Event Office and is subject to availability.

Disabled Facilities

Although the Ironmongers’ Hall was built in 1925, work has been carried out to ensure that meetings and events held at the Hall are as accessible as possible to everyone.

Car Parking

Although there are no parking facilities at the Hall itself, visitors are welcome to drive through the archway to the front doors to allow easier drop-off for less-able guests.

Access into the Hall

There are ramps available for our steps at the entrance to improve ease of access for those who are in wheel chairs or have difficulty with the steps.

There are only two levels within the building and access to the first floor of the Hall is by a front service lift, located centrally in the main entrance hall. The lift has sufficient width to allow for wheelchairs and a care person and is fitted with Braille buttons for the visually impaired.

There are toilet facilities for the disabled on both levels.

The Hall is further able to provide a wheelchair.

The Banqueting Hall has a loop system for the hard of hearing.

Additionally, the Hall is able to provide a brochure of its facilities in braille.

We would like to ensure that your visit is as productive and enjoyable as possible. Please do let us know if you are visiting the Hall and any special requests you have.

Exhibitor Guidelines

Deliveries and Collections

The Hall is open between 0830 and 1700. Please advise the Meetings and Events team if you need to make any delivery and collection arrangements during this time and we will assist, where possible.

Stands

Please ensure that all freestanding exhibits are erected no less than 1 metre away from the walls of the room and away from any of the Hall’s artefacts. The Meetings and Events team will be able to advise you on the most appropriate location for stands, within each room. No signs, posters or paper may be stuck or attached in any way, to the fabric of the building.

Storage and disposal of rubbish

Please note that all items are stored at your own risk. Any items not labelled with a return address and collected within 48 hours of an event may be disposed of. Rubbish, empty boxes, leaflets and paper may be left in the room and will be disposed of by the Hall.

Security

If you require security at your event, we would be grateful if you could make your own arrangements or ask the Events team to arrange a quote on your behalf.

Smoking

The Hall operates a no-smoking policy. We would be very grateful if you could inform your delegates and guests of this policy and ensure that they do not smoke in the Hall or Courtyard.

Permission is required for all photography, filming and video-taping within the Hall.

Simon Punter Photography has been established since 1998. In addition to wedding photography, Simon works for a broad range of clients including advertising agencies, design groups, magazines, publishers and corporate. He has been shooting digital since 2004 and his workflow is completely colour managed from start to finish.
